Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a great week! I know we did in Grade 4. We have been quite productive throughout. Students have dived into the American Revolution asking more and more questions each day. I'm delighted with how their interest in studying history is evident in their queries and their faces. Thank you Grade 4!! In Math we have been tackling double digit multiplication using the partial products method. I have posted a video for review. In Science we have been discussing Earth and its changes - we have also been discussing what to do if those changes happen rather quickly - like in an earthquake. For this we discussed emergency planning. I have encouraged students to discuss emergency planning with their families. Some reported that they already have. Great! I posted the videos we watched in the science videos tab. Please watch together! Lastly, students are entering the final stages of their social studies writing and we are beginning to plan for the Grade 4 store. On Monday we began prepping questions for Battle of the Books - please see pictures by clicking on the pictures tab above. Students have also been given the words for our Jeoparbee event at the end of the month. I gave students time to prepare for the event - many have chosen to group together and share their definitions. I'm quite proud of their collaboration. Way to demonstrate the 6Cs, ladies and gentlemen! Have a great weekend! - Mr. Baker -
